We are continually growing our team and nurturing relationships with highly skilled professionals to increase the expertise available to our clients. For example, our pool of consultants now includes a nutritionist, dietician and physiotherapist, to support clients wishing to maximise health and wellbeing in the workplace.


Kerryn Velleman

Kerryn is the founder and director of Kru Consulting. She has more than 25 years of experience in facilitating change. After training as an organisational psychologist, Kerryn grew her career in the early 90’s as an internal consultant and project manager - supporting financial advisers to build capabilities in the face of significant industry reform. Throughout this period, she worked on a series of organisational restructuring projects, addressing both people strategies and business processes. This culminated in her leading the local learning and development function of a global financial services group. 

Since founding Kru in 2003, Kerryn has built a flourishing consulting practice that is supported by a team of highly qualified psychologists, consultants, coaches and facilitators. In her current role, Kerryn primarily works with senior executives and female leaders to optimise their influence in large-scale organisational, cultural and sector-wide change.

Kerryn is accredited as an executive coach and is a mentor of level III graduates with the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL).  She is a professional certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, an approved supervisor with the APS College of Organisational Psychologists, and the Psychology Board of Australia and leads the Women in Leadership group for the Victorian branch of the College of Organisational Psychologists.

Kerryn thrives on developing the capacity and confidence of leaders to create and embed a coaching culture in their professional lives. Kerryn believes that reflective practice and nourishing relationships, are the keys to helping leaders to thrive in their many professional, personal and community roles.



Aggie Aitken

Aggie is a consultant, coach and facilitator with a strong background in business. After completing her Bachelor of Business at RMIT University, Aggie continued her professional training and development by completing a Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

A member of the International Coach Federation, Aggie has a passion for coaching leaders during times of personal growth and business change. She also has a personal interest in developing women in leadership roles, and helping emerging leaders find their feet.

Andy Gild

Andy is a registered physiotherapist, and health and wellbeing coach. Alongside her Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), Andy holds a Diploma of Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation, and has honed her skills and passions as the co-founder and President of Bicycles for Humanity.

Building on her 30 years of experience as a physiotherapist, Andy enjoys working with individuals who are looking to change one or more aspects of their behaviour to support health goals such as increased fitness, weight management, decreased pain, or stress reduction. She also works with teams to incorporate healthy lifestyles into both their home and work environments. Andy focuses on facilitating small changes, and embedding healthy habits that lead to long-term lifestyle change.

Anne Boland

Anne is an organisational psychologist and learning and development professional with over 30 years of experience. In her consulting practice, Anne draws upon a broad academic background, including a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and a Diploma in Psychology.

Anne is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), as well as a member of the APS Coaching Psychology Interest Group. Anne has a particular interest in transformational leadership coaching for both individuals and teams. She strongly believes in the value of ‘real time’ coaching to enable immediate learning and practice.

Anne enjoys designing and facilitating a diverse range of learning and development strategies, to create practical and true-to-life learning experiences for leaders and their teams. 

Caryn Kave

Caryn is a qualified dietician and exercise physiologist who has brought her expertise in health to the team at Kru. Caryn’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, a Bachelor of Human Movement, from Deakin University and studies in Sports Nutrition with the Australian Institute of Sport.

In her role at Kru, Caryn exercises her passion for helping professionals in the workplace to achieve health and wellbeing goals that set them up for life-long wellness.  She builds enduring relationships with clients, demonstrating insight and compassion to co-create effective nutrition solutions that can be practically maintained within the framework of their busy lives.

Celeste Tramonte

Celeste is a career and leadership coach whose wide-ranging education includes a Graduate Diploma of Coaching and Counselling, Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with Honours. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation, and an associate member of both the International Society for Coaching Psychology and the International Positive Psychology Association. Celeste enjoys working with people who are experiencing career shifts or transitions, especially those who are new to their management or leadership roles. She also has a particular interest in helping people to cope with role redundancy, and navigate career choices when faced with significant organisational change.

David Leahy

David has a strong commercial backgroud having worked for more than thirty years with multinationals and SME’s.  He possesses a broad coaching experience having coached at CEO and Senior Executive level in the USA, South America, Europe and Australia. David understands business and is passionate about developing authentic leaders and top performing teams.

David is a qualified Organisational Coach through the Instititute of Executive Coaching and Leadership in Australia. His Irish heritage means a relaxed yet supportive coaching style.  His approach with his clients is based in developing interpersonal trust within a challenging and confidential environment. This allows his clients gain new insights and accept greater responsibility, which enables them to identify, discuss, and work successfully through issues that are important to them and their organisation.

Hilary Brooks

Hilary has 30 years of experience as a leadership coach and facilitator. With a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology with Honours), Hilary has built upon her substantial consulting, coaching and business expertise with a Master of Arts in International Business.

 An associate member of the Australian Psychological Society, Hilary is also accredited in the use of a variety of psychometric tools. Based in Perth, Hilary has a strong interest in leadership coaching, and working with teams to ensure they get the most out of their work together.

Joanna Shinewell

Joanna is a consultant and sports dietician with fifteen years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is a member of the Dieticians Association of Australia and Sports Dieticians Australia. She thrives on educating and supporting people to make simple positive changes to enhance their energy and life, and empowering them to realise that eating well can have wide-reaching effects on their lifestyle and wellbeing.

Jo Scott

Jo is a senior coach, registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and experienced facilitator. Jo’s qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology and a Masters of Counselling Psychology from Swinburne University.  She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the International Coaching Federation.

Jo has over 25 years of experience coaching leaders and their teams from various sectors across Australia, the Asia-Pacific region, UK and USA. She has a wealth of experience in coaching, leadership assessment, profiling and development, as well as the design and facilitation of leadership development programs, at all levels within organisations.

Jo is particularly interested in working with individuals and teams to support them in being their best selves.  She believes that great performance is achieved only when individuals and teams are able to access their distinctive talents, and be authentic in their beliefs.

Lisa Schafer

Lisa Schafer is a registered psychologist, and a strengths-based coach and facilitator, with a particular interest in leadership and talent development. Built upon a strong educational foundation, marked by a Bachelor of Science and Master of Organisational Psychology, Lisa brings 16 years of experience to her role with Kru Consulting.

Lisa is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia, and a member of both the International Coaching Federation and College of Organisational Psychologists Women in Leadership Group. She is passionate about supporting women in leadership, especially those who have returned to the paid workforce after having children. She also enjoys working with individuals and teams who are seeking a greater sense of passion and purpose in their roles and careers.

Mark Bowker

Mark Bowker is a consultant, coach and facilitator who brings a wealth of experience and education in business and commerce to his role with Kru Consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science, as well as a Masters of Business and IT. In addition, he is accredited as a coach by the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Mark enjoys guiding individuals and groups to become more effective at managing challenges and opportunities in their personal and professional lives. He has a particular interest in supporting leaders to create and embed new habits to engage and inspire their teams.

Sarina Sorrenti

Sarina is a strategic advisor who brings her valuable education and experience in both business and innovation to her role with Kru Consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Business Marketing and Bachelor of Business Accounting, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Innovation and Service Management. She is recognised as a professional certified coach by the International Coaching Federation, and as an executive coach (level III) by the Institute of Executive Coaching. She is also a certified facilitator of the GENOS Emotional Intelligence Inventory and the Lominger 360⁰ feedback tool. Sarina is passionate about supporting Australian startups and new ventures working in the areas of sustainability, wellness, cancer research and innovative technologies. She works with executives to discover their strengths and talents, and to get the best out of themselves, their teams and their businesses.

Vicki Crabb

Vicki is a psychologist who brings over 30 years of experience to her work with Kru. Vicki’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology, an Advanced Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Coaching and Coaching Psychology, as well as additional training in critical incident stress debriefing and management.

Vicki is an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is the current national secretary of the APS Coaching Psychology Interest Group, of which she has been an active member for over ten years (having previously served as both treasurer and Victorian state convener). In addition, Vicki is a member of the Australian Coaching Industry Research Advisory Board, and associated member of the Institute of Coaching, Boston.

Vicki is practical, flexible and authentic, and enjoys working with individuals who want to take a fresh look at their style, and take action to develop themselves. She is very experienced working with teams and individuals following mergers – including those who remain, and those removed from their role. She has a strong reputation for guiding individuals at all levels to navigate and explore their career, including assisting with the practical aspects of job applications and interview preparation.

Zana Ballantyne

Zana is a consultant, coach and facilitator with a focus on individual and organisational coaching. In addition to her Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching, Zana holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, as well as accreditation in a variety of psychometric tools.

Zana is passionate about coaching individuals and teams to develop achievable goals and create positive and sustainable change. She has a personal interest in developing the capability and effectiveness of leaders.
